Our NY Cheesecake recipe comes in honor of my mother Shirley Hartman, who used to serve us this cheesecake when I was a child. I added the cherry compote topping as cherries go great with cheesecake, especially in the summer when they are plentiful.
Our cheesecake is the real thing made with Philadelphia Cream Cheese, sour cream, eggs, and a bunch of other ingredients which are mostly organic.
FULL-SIZE NY CHEESECAKE is sold in 7 inch circular cake pans. Serves 6-8 slices, depending on your appetite. We package the compote in a separate 4 oz. container.
MINI NY CHEESECAKE are a large individual serving prepared in it's own mini 4 inch cake pan.
In case you can't eat a whole cheesecake within a few days, they freeze well. Just thaw it in the refrigerator overnight and serve.
