The last few weeks have been really busy around The Village Nosh. In addition to our growing list of new customers and repeat customers, we spoke to Public Health Department about getting a Retail Food Establishment license! We met with Britt, from Broomfield's Public Health and Environment department, at our commercial kitchen in Broomfield on US Hwy 287. The Village Nosh was granted our third CO license in the last year in addition to the CO Food Manufacturer license and CO Cottage Industry license that we already maintain. We now have two people on staff with ServSafe manager certifications--Dianne, the owner, and her husband Michael, who is officially now out of retirement to join The Village Nosh.
So now we can offer noshes that aren't only breads, pastries, muffins, and cookies.
We can now offer real Jewish soul food! :)
We will start off with potato knishes, something that Dianne, the owner, really misses alot living in Boulder. But being in Boulder, I realize that many people have food allergies or food sensitivies, so we'll be offering regular potato knish (yes, with the carmelized onions) and also Gluten-Free potato knishes. Since no freezer should be without knishes, we'll offer them baked and then frozen. You can pop them in your oven for 15 minutes at 350 degree and kvell over the delicious taste (especially with some spicy mustard!) In the future, we'll expand the filling options on knishes but we'll begin with the traditional potato-carmelized onion knish.
Don't wait. Order your four-pack today!
